About Us

Born to Create

We believe everyone is born to create.

Before we learned rules, expectations, and responsibilities, we imagined, played, explored, danced, and told stories. Creativity is not a gift reserved for a talented few—it is part of what makes us human. Along life's journey, many of us lose touch with that creative self. Yet it never truly disappears. It waits quietly to be remembered.

Art is not a luxury. It is a way of making meaning, expressing emotion, building community, and celebrating life. The creative journey is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming more fully yourself.

Welcome your return.

Dancing Tree Studio

Rooted in the original Dancing Tree musical, Dancing Tree Studio grew from a simple belief: everyone is born to create.

Over years of filmmaking, dance, theatre, travel, and artistic collaboration, we discovered that creativity does not flourish in isolation. It grows through movement, curiosity, friendship, shared experiences, and meaningful human connection. Art is not separate from life — it is one of the ways we learn to live more fully.

Dancing Tree Studio is a welcoming home where dance, storytelling, music, theatre, film, and community come together. Through classes, workshops, rehearsals, performances, and creative collaborations, we nurture healthy bodies, creative minds, expressive voices, and lasting relationships.

The musical Dancing Tree remains our roots. The Studio is the living tree that continues to grow—branching into new ideas, new friendships, new artistic journeys, and new possibilities.

Whether you come to move, to create, to perform, or simply to reconnect with yourself and others, there is a place for you here. Welcome to the studio -- a home for you.

Tree Family

Every tree begins with roots, but it grows through connection.

At Dancing Tree Studio, we call our community the Tree Family—a place where people of all cultures, generations, professions, and artistic backgrounds come together to learn, create, and grow.

Some arrive through dance, music, theatre, film, or storytelling. Others simply come searching for movement, friendship, or a creative life. What unites us is the belief that creativity flourishes through meaningful human connection.

Here, we learn from one another, rehearse together, share stories, celebrate successes, and support each other through every season.

In a world that often feels rushed and increasingly digital, the Tree Family offers something timeless: a place to belong. A place where art and life grow together.

Whether you stay for a class, a rehearsal, a performance, or many seasons to come, we hope you'll find a branch of the tree that feels like home.

Welcome to the Tree Family.
