Our Philosophy - From Inside Out
What began as acting training to become a better film director became a deeper exploration of creativity itself.
Through years of filmmaking, acting, dance, and performance, founder June Wang discovered that acting is far more than learning to perform. It is a practice of observation, empathy, imagination, and truthful expression.
Drama Lab is built on one simple belief: acting is not only for actors. It is for anyone seeking greater confidence, creativity, communication, and authentic self-expression.
Our Approach - From Being to Becoming
At Dancing Tree Studio, acting is not taught as imitation or technique alone—it is a journey of self-discovery.
Inspired by Uta Hagen's Respect for Acting, students develop presence, body awareness, voice, imagination, truthful behavior, and creative expression through movement, improvisation, object exercises, scene study, storytelling, and character exploration. The goal is not simply to create characters, but to become more present, expressive, and fully yourself.
